I Use AI (and I’m Not Sorry About It)

I need to confess something… I use AI daily to run my business. As a business owner, I wear a lot of hats. Some fit me perfectly, like HR strategy, leadership coaching, building a Culture of Purpose. That’s my lane. That’s where I thrive. But if I’m being honest? Some hats don’t fit at all. I am not a marketer. I’m not an accountant. I’m not a sales guru. And I’m okay with that.

This is why I unapologetically use AI to run the parts of my business that don’t energize me or align with my strengths.
Some people might see that as “cheating.” I see it differently. To me, it’s smart business.
AI helps me draft marketing posts, brainstorm new ideas, organize data, streamline processes, and even handle tasks I would otherwise procrastinate on. If I didn’t have AI as a tool, I’d spend countless hours grinding through work that drains me and that’s not fair to my clients, my business, or myself.
By leaning on AI, I buy back my time. And I reinvest that time into what I am good at: helping leaders and organizations unlock their potential, align their people with their purpose, and build thriving, values-driven cultures.
That’s the real magic.
Business ownership doesn’t mean doing it all. It means doing what matters most and finding tools, people, or partners to help with the rest. For me, AI isn’t replacing what I bring to the table. It’s simply clearing the table so I can set it with the work that makes the biggest impact.
So no, I don’t feel guilty about it. In fact, I feel grateful. Grateful for the technology that helps me focus on my strengths, grateful for the chance to spend more of my time where it counts, and grateful for the opportunity to help businesses and leaders build Cultures of Purpose, which is something no algorithm can replace.
And yes, I used ChatGPT to help write this post as well as past posts. The ideas are still human generated and always reviewed for accuracy.
